All year round, every Friday morning, the center of Lourmarin comes alive to welcome 100 to 200 traders who offer you an authentic Provençal market. In the shade of the plane trees, you will find a sample of the culinary and floral riches of Provence!

Between sea and nature The Calanques National Park

It's difficult to stay at Mas de La Lombarde, located in the Luberon national park, without taking the liberty of a little excursion to Cassis, renowned for its >calanques. A geological marvel, the creeks offer an astonishing landscape made of limestone cliffs and coves, over around twenty kilometers of coastline. A nature sanctuary, the Calanques National Park is home to protected animal and plant species, to be discovered on foot or by boat. Two different modes of discovery, for panoramas that are just as different.

Parties, Music and Conviviality The festivals

The famous French DJ, Laurent Garnier, found peace and quiet in Lourmarin, and he pays him back. Since 2013, the artist has organized the Yeah festival! with a stage set up at the castle. Lourmarin has become a stronghold of classical music with its now famous Summer Music Festival. From July to October, renowned artists come to perform on the terrace, or inside the castle. For a few weeks, the piano and the violin are kings.

Less than 40 minutes are enough to reach Aix-en-Provence and its historic center. At the Beaux de Provence, don't miss the Carrières de Lumières, an immersive sound and light show. Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, Eygalières and Fontvieille are also worth a detour

The Theater Capital Avignon

In about sixty kilometers, you will be in Avignon, the Capital of Theater. Every year, one of the largest contemporary live performance events in the world is held there. Go to the Pont d'Avignon, then cross the city ramparts to discover its historic center and its numerous monuments: the Palace of the Popes, Place Pie, the Petit Palais Museum, the Saint-Martial Chapel and many others.
